Celebrating 18 years in print!

Am I the only working mom (an oxymoron -- all moms are working moms) happy that school has started? Don’t get me wrong; I adore my kids, but I also adore the quiet work hours and the more leisurely pace of getting my work done without keeping all the other plates spinning in the air.

Jannemieke Keener has perfect timing. On the last day of the magazine production cycle, I find a very tall box at my door.. I was delighted and happy to receive flowers from Jannemieke congratulating me on hitting the 20-year mark with the magazine and also to say thanks for the coverage of her 25-year anniversary recently.

There’s nothing like fresh flowers to give an old editor a smile on her face. Thanks, Jannemieke!

Getting back to the kids in school; September is back to business month, in my view, at Innsbrook. The Innsbrook Breakfast Club starts up again; there are walks almost every weekend in the Corporate Center beginning this month; The Richmond Corporate Games are this month (Click here to see the magazine’s monthly special section, Innside Innsbrook.)

I was especially excited to write about this month’s cover story -- Capital One expanding its 3-building Knolls campus to 5 buildings -- set to open in the Fall 2011. Click here for details.

This special pull-out section is jam-packed every month with everything you need to know to be in the know about Innsbrook events.

Innsbrook After Hours wrapped up its 25th Anniversary Season in grand style with Michael McDonald, Donald Fagen and Boz Scaggs -- no photos were allowed, but by all accounts, it was a concert not to be missed.

Carroll Hurst, one of the five founding partners of the CPA firm -- Keiter Stephens Hurst Gary & Shreaves is profiled in our 20th Anniversary Profile section. Hurst has fond memories of enjoying the concert series with clients and friends.

Thanks to Paula Gulak, for her look back at Innsbrook the past 25 years and her look forward to what’s coming down the IT pike in the next month or so. Paula has been a good friend for many, many years and her expertise in the IT field is a definite plus for Innsbrook and the magazine. Read more.

IBUZZ takes up two pages this month. Send me your news bites and get noticed in next month’s IBUZZ. Send them to me at cindi. innsbrook@gmail.com.

Have a fantastic September!
